Viva Las Vegas!!!

On Saturday I drove down to Las Vegas to see one of my Best friends and former Mission Companions, Kristi Crampton... I love that girl to pieces! I got in at around 6ish and after going to a really expensive dinner... $350 for eight of us... we went to the Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian Hotel... I loved it!

Inside the Venetian... The Staging for the show was incredible... complete with fireworks, lightning, gunshots, and a huge chandelier that swirled above our heads in pieces... It was so Exciting! I have always loved the music of the Phantom of the Opera, since a little girl thanks to my brother Mark who would blast the music and shake the whole house. However, I had never seen the play and now I can fully appreciate and enjoy the songs now that I know what is going on!!! Here are the Ladies... Kristi Crampton, Vicki Brown, Ronda Castelli, Tessa Christensen and Kristy Buckway at the Venetian before the Show! Dale Brown.... He is hilarious... THe sign says "Always a Happy Ending"
I had such a good time! It was so much fun! Fun to catch up with friends and enjoy some of the sights of Las Vegas! I am so blessed to know so many great people!

Oh Happy Day!!

I got to drive down to St. George again on Saturday the 27th to see my friends Lauren and Steve Leavitt sealed in the St. George Temple. It was so good to see them again after all of this time. It was such a beautiful experience. I love them so much and miss them like crazy!

Look how cute they are!!! Steve is a marine and returned from Iraq not too long ago. I met them in my Dixie College Singles Ward. We had some fun Adventures at Lake Powell, camping, mudding, sp'lunking, and repelling. It was always fun when the gang got together. I love you two!

Christmas Traditions

Every year for Christmas my family has the annual Christmas Eve Party... It is so much fun and my favorite tradition is the one gift that we get to open on Christmas Eve... A new pair of Christmas Pj's that we get to wake up in Christmas Morning. This tradition started a long time ago and has continued. I look forward to it every year.

Here are the boys in their pajamas...
The Girls in their matching twister pant, pink shirt PJ's
Here are the cute "Grand Babies in thei r Pajamas... Aren't they cute? I just love them to pieces!

This is a tradition I am going to carry on forever with my own family!

St. George

I got to go back to St. George... Good Ole Dixie! I loved it! Kim and I went on the 18th and came back on the 20th. We went to my favorite restaurant, Samurai 21... if you are ever in St. George, go there it is excellent... Go on the Hibachi side. Dinner and a show!
While there I got to see Kristelle. I was so excited to see her, it had been two years to the day since I left St. George, yet it felt like I had never left. It was so fun to catch up and fill each other in on our lives these last two years.
I am so grateful for good friends! I have been reflecting on how many wonderful people I know and have met in just the last three years of my life... so many great friends! I am so blessed!

Tales of Babysitting...

Keegan... This picture was taken beforehand...
He is Adorable!

I was watching my adorable nephews the other night... All three adorable little boys, Gavin (4) Keegan (2) and Griffin (3 months). The two little boys were playing in our kids room in a big yellow tub we have full of toys. Playing Shower time... Griffin needed a bottle so I stepped into the kitchen to make him some formula and when I got back to the room there was Keegan standing in the "tub" with his pants and underwear off and Gavin Exclaiming... "He pee'd"

WHAT??? Keegan pee'd in the yellow "Tub" on all of the toys and books... hahahaha

When I asked why he pee'd in the tub he said they always pee in the shower, so he pee'd...

Tooo Cute!

Temple Square...

On those days when you are bored, alone and you just need to get out of the house. Those days when you have no place in particular to go to, I like to go to the temple grounds and take in the beauty of the temple and the peace of such hallowed ground. IT always amazes me that you can walk onto the temple grounds, right smack dab in the middle of a busy bustling city and yet it is so quiet and peaceful. It is like you take a step onto a little piece of Heaven! I love to sit and people watch as well, all the happy couples and newlyweds, children and the occasional dog. I love the temple, all temples. My temple excursions started in college down in St. George and continue to this day!

I will show you some of the highlights of my recent temple stroll in pictures!!!

I was by myself so in order to get this shot, I had to set the timer, sit down and pose...

I thought this was the cutest thing ever, here is this little old couple come riding by, almost ran me over on their little Jazzy's... ahahaha it was too cute I had to take a picture!! but I took it with my cell, so I will have to figure out how to get those off of there.

I love the angle of this picture and the way the sun is hitting the temple.

I love the temple! I hope you enjoy a little taste of my Sunday adventure!

MUSIC!

Well, on my return home I have found and fallen in love with music all over again. After being deprived of "my music" I have taken full advantage of the internet and Barnes and Noble and the lovely playlist at the bottom of my blog! this is a very eclectic collection of some of my favorite music at this moment! Notice that Paramore is a huge part of this collection and that is just because they are a new band that I discovered recently post mission!
I love them, one of my favorite songs is their cover of "My Hero" Listen to it and LOVE it! I do!
I love music, Music, Music!
